The love scenes were tender and well shot (my mind kept thinking of how ITV would have handled this?) My only criticism would be that at an hour it was too short. The flashback scenes to the rehearsal during the double act were a wonderful touch. Tremendous! Brilliant acting and a fast pace. It's a slightly sad reflection, both on TV and the audience, that what is (currently) a very basic and frequently-told story gets a great deal of excited attention simply because it contains two attractive actresses in bed together, and the promise of more nudity to come. Were it not for the lesbian relationship involved, surely this story - girl goes to big city from small community and discovers the duplicity beneath the sophistication - would never have been made. Seems to me that, after the feelgood fairytale romance of the first episode, this is going to turn into another angst story. What I found disappointing was the simplicity of it all - visual symbolism laid on with a trowel. Oh, who cares about the blasted sex scenes! Big deal.
